Aloha! What a fantastic trip! It was even better than we could have imagined.
FORTY-ONE travellers from all over the mainland joined us for 8 days and 7 nights of tropical fun and adventure. From the moment we met at the airport, we knew this was going to be something special.
We were joined by singles, couples, and entire families. Old friends made many new ones over the coarse of the week and everyone had a fabulous time! This was a vacation we will not soon forget.
Hawaii was spectacular! The island is abundant with beautiful beaches and scenery. The water is warm, the sand is soft, and it's easy to find peace and tranquility -or a party! We did plenty of both.
Our days were filled with beaches and sightseeing while nights were dedicated to decadent eating and drinking. Our group travelled from beach to beach, restaurant to restaurant, and always seemed to end up back in our hotel room until the late in the morning... We had SO MUCH fun!
Our airsoft game was hosted by Airsoft Hawaii and they were most gracious. SIXTY-ONE-PLAYERS were on hand for a great day of wargaming!
The locals were very nice to us and great sports. The weather was hot that day even by their standards and took it's toll on us but we were expecting as much. This is the tropics after all!
They have a nice photo album of the event on their website with lots of pictures. Special thanks to Pat, Blake, Scott and everyone else that was there for such a fine event. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
Next year? That's right! Mark you calendars and reserve you time off now.
This is a vacation you don't want to miss! With prices starting at only $500 from San Francisco, you won't find a better deal. Plus, there's nothing like being among a large group of people. The camaraderie, antics, and fun we had together was unparalleled!
Op: Savage Luau II will be scheduled for Oct 13 thru Oct 20 of 2004. Reserve you time off and start planning for it NOW. This is an event you won't want to miss! Details will be posted on the website when ready.
Thanks again to everyone that joined us for a wonderful time. It was even better than expected and I hope you had just as much fun. I look forward to seeing you again next year!
Aloha and Mahalo!

The event lasted a full eight days. The mass of players arrived at their respected airports on early morning trips with a gun case in one hand and a suitcase in the other. Most of the players came out of Northern California, with other coming from Southern California and as far east as Michigan and Georgia. Once we made our way though the security checks and explained to security that the guns were not real we headed to the bar for the all-important first (and continuous) drink, then to the airplane.
With a five hour flight on its way the fun did not stop. Dave made his way up and down the aisle ensuring that we were all having fun and that our drinks were full. Once in Hawaii and at the hotel the group continued the fun from going to nice diners, swimming in the coral reefs, visiting the bars, going to Pearl Harbor, going on a three hour cruise, visiting Dave’s family, and airsoft.
The Hawaii airsoft is located on the Oahu and is about a 30 minutes scenic drive from Waikiki. The field consists of a few hills, some cliff, natural lava rock bunker formations, some man made wooden bunker formations, and palm trees.
Once we arrived at the field we were greeted by the local players and checked in our guns. After we listen to the safety rules we went to our respectful corners and came out shooting. As the games went on we got the privilege to play against the local armed forces. We also got the chance to make some new friends and swap airsoft stories along with some new scenarios. If you ever get the chance to go to Hawaii and you want to play a good airsoft game with some honorable players then I strongly recommend Hawaii airsoft. I also recommend playing one of their famous Normandy games. This game is a lot of fun and is very intense.
As the day finished up we emptied our magazines replaced our flashinders with the appropriate red tips, stripped off our gear, took a group photo, and said our good bye. Of course the fun didn’t stop. It had just changed addresses. For the rest of the remaining days the drinks flowed the laughing continued and the occasional embarrassing moment.
If you ever get the chance to go to Hawaii I seriously recommend looking up Hawaii Airsoft and make a reservation if you want to play a game with some good and honorable players.
