At one point on the Saturday afternoon session I was assigned to work with Jordan and give him cover with my M-60. We were 2nd Squad Marines. Jordan was carrying an RPG.
We were immediately seperated from our Squad in a firefight with the Viet Cong in the area. We ended up going into "lost mode"... We went through heavy brush, climbed down a steep cliff, crossed a stream, still lost, and ended up sneaking up on some VC in a Fire base. We were in stealth mode and we got in really close -60 feet or less!
I laid down some cover fire to the left while Jordan fired the RPG at it. Jordan scored a direct hit! About 6 VC off to my left side lit me up at that point and I was dead. Then, as we entered the base, we realized that it was the Viet Cong Firebase Rhino!! The two of us with an RPG and an M-60 took out the main Viet Cong HQ Base Rhino by accident =)
After the VC there informed us that we could not change the flag to U.S. (there was only a VC flag), we gave them back their firebase and they let us wander off back into the woods. The other VC in the area did not even shoot at us. That was too cool.

Let me start by saying thank you to Combat Enteprises for putting together this most spectacular event. Thank you guys!
Now, there are many stories to tell, but i pick this one...
It Was Sunday morning, and we were protecting the the US headquarters. Not even sure who was in there with me, but it got a little crazy... Correction! It was insane.
It was the last few minutes of the game, when the VC made a last charge at the base. Man! It was a sea of black; never saw anything like it. There were so many targets I couldn't aim and shoot fast enough! We were down to just a few US soldiers in the HQ. We were all firing at any thing that was moving in front of us!
1000s of BBs were flying in virtualy every direction. Just then, I ran out of ammo in my M4. As I turned to yell for reinforcements from the aid station,
"anyone ready to come back in , get in here now , the enemy is 25 ft out!" and at the same time pulling my .45 and turning back to shoot, when "BAM!" I caught one in the face, AHHHGGG!!!
As I fell back to the aid station I turned to see the enemy over running our base. Although we lost the base, I have to say that this was the most intense fire fight I have ever been in. AWESOME!
Great job everyone! I hope to have the honer of fighting by your side again.

I have a couple stories that i think are worthy of mentioning, but I'll keep it to one for this e-mail. Perhaps more later :)
The first one takes place at the very beginning of the third game. The VC, being completely outnumbered, had decided to forgo the recon missions and focus on fighting us out of the spawn. After the first minute, nearly all of Bat squad had been killed. As I sat in the spawn, I said that we may not win, so we might as well try for the recon objective, destroying their main base, to take a little respect out of the round. So me, Mike "Mikey" Kemling, and 3 other members of Bat squad make for the US base.
As we pass Hill 187, Jerry "Tin Man" Chavez links up with us to fill out our squad to 6. We skirted the furthest edge of the map. Up the steepest slopes, staying on the far side of hills instead of the top as to avoid being detected, moving with 15 feet between us as to avoid detection. We swung all the way around to their rear and positioned ourselved 20 feet behind the enemy main spawn. Total time of the operation so far, 40 minutes.
Mike came up with the plan to have himself, Jerry, and one other form a wall in front of me, the sapper, and charge the base, while the other two provide covering fire. I dropped my AEG, grabbed my pistol and held the sapper pack in my right hand. We charged. One guy in the respawn put his hands up in surrender without us even asking. A couple US soldiers spotted us and opened fire, pellets were bouncing off trees perilously close as Jerry put down the soldier outside of the base. I got close enough to be sure of my throw and heave. It lands in the base and we are victorious. We lose 3 men, including myself, the rest stay behind enemy lines to cause some havok. Upon our return to the spawn, we find out that the US had been pushed out of the middle base and Hill 187.
Our news of the destruction of the enemy main base boosted the moral of the troops and pushed them forward to our eventual, glorious victory.

At the start of the first op, each team was assigned initial goals to take certain locations.
My squad (Lizard) and another squad kind of shared our goals. We took the fast runners from both teams to take Hill 187, and the rest to take our objective... the first outpost.
Well I was one of the runners. The funny thing was... We ran past the hill, down into the ravine by the road. We all got confused and lost real quick!

One of the best airsoft experience I ever had.
I was defending the far NW side of 187 by myself. I was taking out GIs left and right when I started to run low on ammo and had to reload. Then Mike the Sgt. of Bat squad came just in time to back me up. We sat low where the GI's could not see us. We waited for GI's to rush up 187 and stopped them in their tracks one by one all the way till the last 5 minutes of the game when Mike and I made a mad rush to kill the remaining GI's on the other side of the hill. Mike charged with nothing but a knife and was shot, dramatically he fell and screamed. It was the most dramatic death I seen in the game. While they were shooting at him I let loose with my AK and took out all the GI's on that hill. A sacrifice well worth it. Mike told me afterwards that what we did was the reason why he believed in the buddy system. Great job Mike and thanks CE.

Man, you GI boys didn't have mercy on the farmers at all!
I was walking about 100FT aways from a GI group, they told me to get on my knees, well seeing how I had a bag of opium stuffed in my pants, I couldn't!
I first raised my hands up in the air, saw one of them commanding me to get on the knees so instead I made a ran for it. I swear all of them let loose on me! It was a slaughter!
The goal was to plant the dope in their main base, I tried 4 times to get in there and each time I was shot! (Remember I was a farmer)... we even had a little trick where my own VC guys would chase me to the GI base pretending that they are going to kill me, I was yelling 'help VC kill me, help!' as soon as I got 10 FT from the GI base I was shot! Brutal!
It was funny none-the-less =)
