The Nam2 Airsoft Scenario Game!

May 17-19, 2002
Modesto, CA

As the weekend came to a close, we began to miss it before we were even done. With the costumes and camaraderie of the troops, the military and airsoft toys, and flavor of 'The Nam' running through us it was an atmosphere like none other and we knew we were going to miss it right away.

The players took a quick break from the morning session then gathered around once again for the closing ceremonies.

Many thanks went out to the staff, volunteers, sponsors, and most importantly the players for making such a memorable event. With such a large group, sophisticated ruleset, and demanding environment, the quality of gaming and sportsmanship this weekend was truely special.

The awards came forth and the ceremony was on the way. Trophies were awarded for; Best Costume, Chris 'Woody' Woodall; Best Sniper, 'Alex Rivard', and First and Second place CQB Event winners Team 'B.A.M.' and Team 'S.E.E.U.' Additionally, each army awarded it's own 'Most Valuable Player' and 'Most Valuable Squad' awards to those that showed exceptional actions on the field of battle.

Finally, the raffle prize giveaway was next and everyone buzzed with anticipation. The sponsors were more than generous and the lot of prizes included a number of AEG's, blowback pistols, and lots of other airsoft gear and goodies. Numbers were called out one after the other and the lucky winners jumped forward to claim their prizes.

At last, the time to break camp had come and we reluctantly began to part way. The weekend had gone by in a blur and the euphoria still carried on even as we left. Friends both new and old said their goodbye's among promises to return and do it again.

On behalf of everyone at Combat Enterprises, we'd like to thank you all for making this such a special event. Your participation was paramount to the success of the game and nothing we have done has ever been finer.

Thanks again, and see you next time!
